Background info or story of your gang (minimum of 500 words):

From the 80's, to the early 90's, a brutal civil war went on in El Salvador, fought between the government, and other political groups.
With human rights being violated, and people being brutally killed, a lot of the citizens did not feel safe.
Therefore, they immigrated to the United States, with a lot of them moving to Los Santos for cheap housing, and decent employment opportunities.
Unfortunately, the Mexicans already living there, treated the Salvadorans badly, and many bullied teens and young adults had nowhere to go.
As well as the Mexicans, the African-Americans also abused the Salvadorans, and as a result, they started to band together, and fight back.
Most of these gangs did not go very far, except one gang, infamous for their brutality, and their preference for knives and machetes.
This gang, was called Mara Salvatrucha.
Their experience in the military, and in weapons gave them a big advantage in Los Santos, that most gangs did not have.
Because of their brutality, and their remorseless attacks, most of the leaders of MS-13 were deported back to El Salvador.
This was a big mistake, because these members of MS-13 began to recruit people in their hometown.
Because of the deportations, MS-13 has spread throughout Central America, and the United States, with over 100,000 estimated members, worldwide.
This gang is considered by many, to be a deadly plague.
Nowadays, MS-13 has risen to power in Central America, and throughout the USA.
But until recent times, MS-13 has stayed quiet within Los Santos, due to the efforts of the LSPD,
and other gangs who basically had a monopoly on the drug trade.
But in El Salvador, a war with the elements was going on. Severe drought had killed 80% of the nations crops,
and the whole countryside suffered from a famine. From July to October, around 5,000 Salvadorans immigrated to the USA,
about 20% of these immigrants moved to San Andreas. With more and more Salvadorans moving to Los Santos, history repeat itself. Once again,
the immigrants were outcasts in society, with only each other to comfort themselves. MS-13 saw this as a chance to take advantage of these immigrants,
who wanted hospitality from other Salvadorans. The refugees were offered a place to stay, and employment. When they accepted the offer,
they were crammed into a moldy apartment with two other families, and they were given low paying jobs on the boardwalk. By the orders of the shotcaller,
the young male refugees were recruited into the gang, and became pawns and soldiers of MS-13, the organization that only months ago,
had conned their families. This large amount of Salvadoran immigrants, and the fall of the Rollin' Height Ballaz,
which opened up opportunities in the drug trade, resulted in a dramatic rise in Mara Salvatrucha.
They called themselves a variety of names, such as the "Westside Buccaneers",
which refers to their coastal turf.
There are now hundreds of Salvadoran immigrants, attempting to put out a name for themselves.
In order to get anywhere in MS-13, these individuals will hurt, maim, and kill.
